been a while...

So I know it's been a while now since I have posted pics...
I have been B-U-S-Y, to say the least. So here are some pictures and some updates:

32 week shots... I can't believe I have less than 8 weeks to go! This has definitely been a baby moving week too... Some of the girls at work got to feel her moving, and they just had a blast... I think it's funny too, I always thought it would bother me if people touched my belly, but it's almost like it's not a part of me. And sometimes I wonder about the little princess... I always heard those horrid stories of feet in your ribs! Sometimes her movements and kicks are enough to knock me out of my seat. I think I already mentioned the 'long legs' once, but boy do I ever believe it too! Hunter gets about as much amazement out of it as I do... she will really be groovin' in there and he'll ask;

"Does that hurt?"
"what does it feel like?"
and other times I just get an "ouch!",

Like it hurts him to watch her! He cracks me up!

We had a dr. appointment yesterday, and I really had planned on it going smoothly, but alas, my heart decided to flip it's breaker and go into spasm mode. Which was pretty handy since I was almost to the Dr. office anyways. So I went straight in, and the nurse happened to be at the front. She took one look at me and knew I was having an attack. For those that don't know, I have SVT, Super Ventricular Tachycardia, and it's a common little heart problem, generally not something too serious. In fact it is brought on in a lot of women during a pregnancy or after giving birth. I have had mine for years. So we did a quick EKG, got the irregular beats on paper, and I was able to lay down and make it stop. I still to this day owe Dr. Hall, wherever he may be, a huge thank you for showing me how to stop the attacks. Otherwise, baby was good, but I was too out of it to ask what her heart rate was. I will make it a point to ask next week... I have gained a total of 16 pounds now, which is really good for being 8 months pregnant... I will go back to the dr. next Thursday, before my trip to Texas. I will go one more 2 week after that, and then I will start every week! I can't believe how fast this pregnany has gone by!

By the way, bless everyone's heart who read this whole chapter I just wrote! hahaha!

Everyone, this is Festus... yes, he's a mule! But I don't think he believes us... he's more like an overgrown dog! He loves to be petted and have all the attention. Levi has always loved mules, and had an opportunity to buy him, so he's the newest member of the Fry Family Farm. He is five years old, dog gentle broke, and rides pretty good. Well I say good, he needs some miles on him, but he hadn't been ridden in almost over a year and Levi jumped right on. We already looking to buy one for me as well in the future. He's been a lot of fun, and Hunter just loves him as well!

Other than that, life is at it's normal steady pace... I have been busy with work, and of course 'keeping' a house keeps me busy. So I haven't had much extra time lately. I hope everyone is doing good! I can't wait to see those of you in Texas that are waiting on me... It won't be long!

Have a good night everyone!

Picture updates

Just a couple of picture updates,
this is a picture of me tonight with
my two new toys... We were blessed
to come home two days in a row with
gifts on our front porch. Aunt Barbara
and uncle Glenn sent us this stroller
and our crib mattress we picked out
at Babies-R-Us. I feel so blessed. And
even more exciting, now I can put the
bed and bedding all together and
really get a feel for it!

I found this outside this evening! This was a very nice, old, basket my mother-in-law Diana picked out for our cat Jackie Links. Well Jack has been banned from the house, and in my 'cleaning' moods, I couldn't figure out what to do with the basket, so it went outside to be stored. I just hated to let go of a good basket. Still with Jack's bedding in it, I found Dixie curled up and comfy. So I snapped this. Can you say spoiled?!?! Speaking of Dixie, we experienced another horrible seizure yesterday. I cried for her, it was so bad. Today, she isn't feeling very good. She turned down ice cream, and she NEVER does that... so we'll be watching her.

I took this picture the other day.
It's a 30 week picture, and just played
around a little with it... If it weren't for
the stupid flash line all down my front,
it would be pretty neat. So I may have
to set up and try it again with the flash
at a different angle and see what I get.

Well, I guess thats it for today. I'll post more later!

31 Weeks

Just a quick update with some 31 week pictures... I recruited Levi tonight to take pictures of me, before we stepped out for some dinner. I have to say of all things, he impresses me most when he gets a hold of my camera, he used to not know how to even turn one on, and now he can take a decent picture. And those that don't know, it's not a point and shoot from wal-mart; it's a real pro camera. We had a nice dinner at our favorite resturaunt, Lupe's... it was quite enjoyable, just the two of us.

I also wanted to post... orginally I intended to make all of Lauren's bedding. And I actually got the quilt top almost done... Then we got the furniture moved in, and I have let the quilt top sit in the crib for a couple of weeks now. I just wasn't in love with it anymore like I was before the furniture. It just didn't match... So after our trip to OKC the other day, and not spending money on a hotel, I decided to just look at other beddings.
The whole reason I was going to make hers was because I could not find anything I liked online that was 'country' enough. But recently I found the 'laguna' set from Pottery Barn Kids, and it was love at first site. I received my box today in the mail, and I am absolutely in love even more! So below is a picture, from the website, to give everyone an idea of colors... When I get the bedding actually in the bed, I'll post more room pics.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I will be back with more to post soon...

30 week pictures

So I'll go ahead and update with some 30 week pictures. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the 3D pictures and the video.

Lauren is officially running out of room, and to think I still have 9 more weeks of this. Last night we had to get up out of bed, and move around to dislodge the foot in my sternum. To imagine I was 22.5 inches long, and Levi was 22... I can only imagine how long legged she will be, and she's proving it.

I have to get mushy for a second, and admit that I am still so fascinated with all of this. I can't believe that I have this precious little fist eating, rib-kicking baby inside me. I can't wait to hold her, and to know her. I can only imagine how spoiled she will be... like me. We are especially blessed to have the grandmothers that we do in our life. I have two wonderful ones on my side of the family, JoAnn and Tiger. I talked to Tiger two nights ago, and to my maw-maw this morning. How I miss them both, and they are ready to see Lauren! lol! And then on Levi's side, I get it times three. Nadine, DeLeta, and Betty. I saw both Nadine and DeLeta last night; cooked dinner with DeLeta, and got belly rubs from Nadine. Betty has been a champ too, helping me keep up my yard by pulling weeds and whatever else needs done. I truly am spoiled!

So I am hoping in the next couple of weeks, to get some more 'professional' like pictures taken. Some I can take home to the family. And then while home to get some more taken with my wonderful cousin April who is also a photographer. All of my belly shots so far have been accomplished on a tri-pod, and not so cooperating self timer. I have a hard time getting a good focus, much less as crisp as I would like. ( I have got to get that wireless shutter remote I have my eye on) So for the record, these are by no means what I consider 'quality' pictures, just snapshots.

I hope everyone is doing good... Thank you to all that have emailed me the last week! I really enjoy getting your emails and comments!

Levi sends out his love as well, we love you all!

Shannon and Levi

I also would like to include something different. I took some pictures of our
cat Jackie Links Sunday evening, and created this story board. Just for fun.

3D Ultrasound

So the ultrasound was enjoyable to say the least… She’s definitely head down, and she’s for sure a girl!!! Unfortunately, she is already showing a stubborn side I am not looking forward to as she gets older...

Not only would she stay snuggled against my placenta, which makes for a very unclear picture, but she absolutely refused to move her hands from her face. She was going to town on them!
We only had a 25-30 minute session, and the ultrasound lady tried her hardest to get Lauren to cooperate. She patted my belly numerous times; she pushed and poked on Lauren; she even made me roll twice, trying to get ‘lil Miss Lauren to show us a better profile. She would not budge. When my rolling did move Lauren just a bit, she ever so stubbornly moved right back and snuggled. It was quite humorous and frustrating at the same time.

We had this pacifier/thumb sucking debate the other day at work. And I spoke too soon, making claims that I didn’t want to introduce the pacifier, if possible. But I also did not want a thumb sucker; I really don’t know which is worse. And I think Lauren is out to prove me wrong. She chewed and sucked on her hands, fingers, fists, and even the middle of her forearm. At one point, she even had her foot in her mouth, literally! Levi and Hunter both chimed in and said maybe I needed to eat more, she was hungry!

Also, I might add, she has some very chubby cheeks! Not for sure where those come from, but we are thinking levi's mom and his brother both have big round chubby cheeks. So maybe thats it... The ultrasound lady kept commenting on them, so I assume they are really more 'cheeky' than usual.

So I got a little dvd of the whole session, a cd full of images, and a 'free' diaper bag. It was really neat, I wish I could do it again, and wish that I had done it sooner! Maybe we would have gotten some better pictures. I will include the video, where at the end she finally decided to move, now that our session was up, but she gives a cute little grin at the end. I hope everyone can make heads or tails of it. Levi says it’s not easy! lol!

We went to Bass pro afterwards, and drooled over boats. Then we went to Cattlemen’s Steak House in cow town, and rode a horse drawn buggy up the front door. Had a wonderful steak dinner… Then we headed home. We decided not to stay in the city, both of the boys wanted to come home, and I agreed. Today will be busy enough, we just as well get some good sleep.

Tonight is the big party at Levi’s Mom’s. She lives on the lake, and every year the lake has what is called Christmas in July. So we are cooking steaks and watching the fireworks tonight. They also have bands down by the boat house and so much more.
Well I better get up and get around to doing something. I'll post later!
--------------------------------------- VIDEO ----------------------------------------------
It's only 20 seconds, but if you know what you are looking for, at the very end, she gets a big grin... It's cuuuuuute! And all the movement is her, she decided to make a show when it was time to leave. (the grin is around the 16-17 second mark)

( just hit the play button twice)

29 or 30 weeks?

So today, according to my calendar, I am 29 weeks and 6 days... But from what the Dr. shows, I am 30 weeks... So I don't know if these pics would be considered my 29 week, or my 30 week...

But no matter what, today is the BIG day and I am so excited!

I will be leaving work around 10:30, to go home and finish getting us packed. Then we will head out for some lunch and get up to OKC. We actually have to go north of OKC to a 'sub-division' called Edmond. Our appointment is at 4:30, but I plan on being there around 4:00. Just incase I hit some traffic or who knows what else.

So hopefully, I will be able to post some pics as soon as I get home tomorrow.

Still not looking bad for only 10 weeks to go!

I was always told, my real mother never looked pregnant from behind,
and I'm pretty much the same way so far... Of course time will tell if that will hold!!!

Happy Fourth!!!

myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics

I hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th!!! We had a fun one ourselves! As usual, our day was very busy. Starting with the parade at 10, from there all the activites in the park which included the turtle race, Mr Muscle and Miss Tiny Tot, and free swimming at the pool. Of course DeLeta and I did our annual Bingo at the activity center, where we both won some awesome prizes. And to wrap it up, fireworks and a street dance.

Here are Avery, Hunter, and Nevaeh waiting for the parade to start...

The turtle race was in-conclusive, or so we are calling it, due to too many Chiefs and not enough Indians. The race was started by one leader, and two more come along and said they were re-starting it. A lot of parents and children were mad, and so many left. Hunter won his first race... then his short go, and was in the finals, when 'things' were changed. So we restarted. He won his first race again. But during his second, too many people waving arms and such, startled his turtle, and about 8 inches from the finish line, he got scared and stopped. Poor Hunter was not happy!

Hunter and his turtle eyeing the other competition...

Just a few pics from the fireworks... I do have video to upload of the turtle race, and from Hunter's favorite fire cracker experience. Maybe tonight or tomorrow... My disclaimer on the following pics; we were all tired, sweaty, and ready for bed when these pics were taken... I'll be posting again soon, have a great Thursday! DeLeta snapped this of me while trying to open one...
Hunter kept us busy opening while he lighted them!

One cheesy family pose, can you tell Hunter was getting more than tired?
